Notes: "This feature is at the very southern end of what is called Crowlin Harbour on maps and charts today. It is a point which ebbs dry with the falling tide allowing people (and cattle, sheep) to walk across from cfEilean Mòr to cfEilean Meadhanach and vice-versa, the two largest of the Crowlin Islands. The name was given to the Scottish Place Name Survey by Roderick Gillanders (Ruaraidh Sheòic) in May 1971.<br /><br /><br /><br />Roy Wentworth's ""Gaelic words and phrases from Wester Ross"" refers to this word as: ""path or stepping stones, at buildings or across bog or burn""."
