Placename

Gaelic name: Achadh an Àird Mhòir

Name in Original Source: Achadh an Àird Mòir

English meaning: Field of the Big Headland

Placename feature: Field

Notes: It was cut for hay by the Toscaig people. Exact location remains unclear but possibly on the south-west of the headland, or possibly on the green area between Camas Coulc and Camas na Bà. The latter interpretation seems reasonable, so the co-ordinates used here are for that location. (Information from Rhoda Cameron, 22/4/2001)
