Gaelic name: Meall nan Nathraichean

Name in Original Source: Meall nan Nathraichean

English meaning: Lump of the snakes

Placename feature: Hill

Notes: On the 1905 second edition of this map, the name is given as Meall Arachaidh (q.v.) but it should be, according to William J. Watsons Place names of Ross and Cromarty, Meall Aoghaireachd

W. J. Watson's notes: 213: Meall Aoghaireachaidh, (O.S.M., Meall an fhireachan) - 'Hill of shepherding.' It is N.E.
