Notes: A portion of arable land used by Rev. Dr. Kenenth MacDonald's family, up near the boundary wall demarcating the crofts of the township of cfAn Àird Dhubh. Gead means also a patch, as in a patch of white on a cow's forehead, hence its usage to denote a small arable bit of ground.
