Placename

Gaelic name: Doire Dubh

Name in Original Source: Doire Dubh

English meaning: Black copse

Placename feature: Woodland

Notes: As there is Meall an Doire Dhuibh (q.v.) above the township of Àird Heisleag (q.v.) then it stands to reason that there must have been a Doire Dubh from which the hil took its name. The exact location is unclear but the co-ordinates give a proposed location. This name needs further investigation
