Placename

Gaelic name: Druim Liath

Name in Original Source: Druim Liath

English meaning: Grey ridge

Placename feature: Field

Notes: A virtually forgotten name, it stretched from the area of Sardail to the area of the current Kennels and lay below A' Cheapaich. The old estate saw-mill was situated there. All that is known at present is contained in a paper by Kenneth Macrae, F.S.A.: Drumloy, Drumley. This is a Gaelic name, Druim Liadh. This place was lower than Keppach, stretching from Sardail to near the Kennels. It is mostly wooded now but there are two parks and the old saw-mill is situated there.
