Notes: A name that refers to the area around the building that was the coal shed, which stored coal discharged by puffers before it was distributed by horse and cart around the townships of Applecross Mains Farm, Baile a'Mhuilinn, etc. It is possible that there may have been a limestone or charcoal quarry nearby (Sandy Cameron, 27/12/2000)<br /><br /><br /><br />Ian Fraser's recording for the Scottish Place Name Survey (PN1971.016B) has one informant stating that the coal shed building was a kiln
