Notes: Recorded by Ian Fraser, Scottish Place Name Survey, May 1971 (PN1971.016B), this name refers to one of the six large fields to the south-south-east of Applecross Mains Farm. In this case, the park that is to the south-west of the six, tucked in between the wood of A' Chàrnaich and the field known as An t-Uchd Mòr. The second element may be a pronunciation of tarbh (genitive: tairbh).
