Placename

Gaelic name: Coire Toll-bheinn

Name in Original Source: Coire Tolbhein

English meaning: Mountain-hole corrie

Placename feature: Corrie

Notes: This appears to be an alternate version of Coire Toll-dobhrain (q.v.) as it is only listed in an Applecross Estate Brochure of Sale from July 1887: The seventh beat is Corrie Attadale, which includes the mountain of Croichbein (1,618 ft.) and the half of the back Corries of Ben-y-Bhein, viz. Corrie Ghorm Beag and Corrie Ghorm Mor (the big and little Ghorm corries), and Corrie Tolbhein. This is a very good beat, and the starting ground is about three miles from the House.

This name also appears on some more recent 20th and 21st century Ordnance Survey maps as Coire Toll a' Mhèine(q.v.)
