Placename

Gaelic name: Camas na Bà

Name in Original Source: Camas na Bà

English meaning: Cow bay

Placename feature: Bay

Notes: A fairly sheltered bay tucked in on the west side of inner Loch Toscaig, which serves as an anchorage even today. Between this bay and Camas Coulc(q.v.) on the opposite side of it at the north-west edge of An Àird Mhòr (q.v.) is a flat, now quite damp area, which slopes up towards the centre and down again to the other shore where it is believed the Toscaig people used to grow potatoes, among other crops.
