Placename

Gaelic name: Beinn a' Ghairbh-allt

Name in Original Source: Bein Garaveault

English meaning: Hill of the rough stream

Placename feature: Hill

Notes: This name only appears on an Admiralty chart of 1850, representing a broad sweep of hillside. It appears to be a variant of the name An Garbh-mheall mòr (q.v.) and is mapped as being due east of An Lòn Bàn (q.v.)
