Placename

Gaelic name: Allt nan Cam-lùb

Name in Original Source: Allt nan Cam-lùb

English meaning: Stream of the bends

Placename feature: Stream

Notes: Allt nan Cam-lùb is a name which refers to a small stream in the hill above the township of Toghsgaig (q.v.), and it runs into the upper reaches of Abhainn Thoghsgaig (q.v.) a little south of where Allt a' Choire Dhuibh (q.v.) also joins. In fact, Allt nan Cam-lùb joins just as the main watercourse takes a ninety-degree turn from southwards to westwards, probably influencing the name
