Gaelic name: Allt Clais nam Feadan

Name in Original Source: Allt Clais nam Feadan

English meaning: Stream of the gully of the streams

Notes: Streams or runnels, rivulets, etc., would seem to be the truer meaning here rather than 'chanters'. This stream is on the hill above the eastern shore of Loch Toghsgaig (q.v.)

Roderick Gillanders pronounces the last element as fead-ul in a recording for the Scottish Place Name Survey, May 1971
